Kaigan Carrie is a criminologist who reveals the realities of prison life through the eyes of the officers who work there. Her work brings the hidden world of prisons to public attention, exploring the challenges, experiences, and everyday realities of working inside prisons.
She hosts the award-nominated Evolving Prisons podcast and has written about prisons for New Statesman, The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, and The Conversation. She's appeared in a BBC Ideas film, appeared on TalkTV and contributes as an expert commentator for broadcast and print media.
