Kaigan Carrie is a criminologist who reveals the realities of prison life through the eyes of the officers who work there. Her work brings the hidden world of prisons to public attention, exploring the challenges, experiences, and everyday realities of working inside prisons.

 

She hosts the award-nominated Evolving Prisons podcast and has written about prisons for The Times, New Statesman, The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, and The Conversation. She has featured in a BBC Ideas film and appeared on TalkTV, BBC Radio, and LBC, contributing as an expert commentator across broadcast and print media.
